skewered

A short (4 min.) film I made in 1997 juxtaposes an action by Mark "Painproof" Fillibrown, in which he has 200 needles inserted into his skin. The soundtrack, done in collaboration with Brian Ciaizza (i-dot) presents fragments of a lecture on globalization by Noam Chomsky. The film attempts to literalize the pain felt by workers and societies traumatized by corporate globalization.
